London Olympics 2012: event schedule in detail

The 2012 London Olympic Games will host some 26 sports, which are categorised into 39 disciplines. This twelve day long event will start on the 27th of July and continue till 12th of August 2012. Olympic schedule 2012 includes participation of some 144 countries of the world. The competition will also welcome guests and visitors from countries all over the world.
The sports competition includes events like, archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, beach ball, boxing, canoe slalom, canoe sprint, cycling – BMX, cycling – mountain bike, cycling – road, cycling – track, diving, equestrian – dressage, equestrian, equestrian – jumping, fencing, football, gymnastics – artistic, gymnastic – rhythmic, gymnastics – trampoline, handball, hockey, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing, shooting, swimming, synchronised swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, water polo, weight lifting and wrestling. 



London Olympics dates
London Olympics dates are from 27th July 2012. The games not only spread as per categories, but have also different groups, like, competition for men, women, singles, and doubles and mixed which are further divided as per age. This year the London 2012 dates confirm that the event will start with athletes on 27th July after the opening event.
2012 London Olympics includes the athletes, sports officials, coaches who are ready to hit the event in London. UK has also started making arrangements for such a huge event. They are now taking special care for the visas, and confirmed that the game visas will remain valid till 8th of November 2012. The UK government is arranging for the visas for all family members of the participants, the athlete, technical persons, coach, official, broadcaster, sponsors and etc, anybody and everybody related to Olympic sports. Along with the game visa, if an individual wishes to apply visa for travelling to other places, will also be arranged. But all these arrangements are subject to change or may face visa refusal in special situation.
Also keep in mind that in order to buy London Olympic tickets you will need a VISA card just because they are the London 2012 card sponsor. Thus the London Olympics tickets are not available on general credit cards. This system might lead the people of UK to think that in spite of having a credit card why are they not eligible to purchase Olympic 2012 tickets.
Special website for 2012 London Olympics
Olympic officials have launched special website for the games. This website will have all hourly updates about the games. People from all over the world will be able to access the site and collect information about the sports person of their country. The officials have specially arranged for, game visas, accommodation in London, spectator’s tickets and the website, so that every individual can participate in this grand event. Like other two times, this year also the city of London is very proud to organise the Olympics for the third time. The Olympic officials along with the city management team is busy preparing it for the grand event in July 2012.
